Royalty Trends

Précédent Suivant

Royalty Trends is a new feature in beta release

We're working on getting it ready for you. In the meantime, expect changes to this features before its final release.

Use Royalty Trends to see historical views of royalty performance and play frequency data:

  • Identify unusual spikes or dips in activity.

  • Detect potential data gaps.

  • Compare current reporting activity against historical trends.

  • Further investigate potential anomalies in Anomaly Detection in Royalty Explore.

Royalty Trends does not modify royalty reports. All dates and times displayed in Trends use UTC.

Trend Charts

Royalty Trends shows historic charts for Play Frequency and Performances. The dates for these charts are fixed, showing the last month and 13 months.

These charts measure different aspects of royalty reporting:

  • Play frequency: How many times tracks were played.

  • Performances: How many listeners received those plays.

Trends gives you more more context for understanding potential anomalies. Because Performances is influenced by both playback activity and audience size, changes in one metric do not always result in changes to the other. Reviewing both charts together often provides the best context for understanding results.

Exemples :

  • If Play Frequency remains stable but Performances increases, audience growth may be the cause.

  • If Play Frequency decreases, Performances may also decrease because fewer tracks were played.

  • If both metrics change unexpectedly, additional investigation may be needed. For details, see Anomalies in Royalty Reports.
